TECHNO-LUXURY INSTALLATION IS MADE OF COLOR AND PURE EMOTION

Carvico and Jersey Lomellina intend to take by storm the next edition of Pitti Immagine Filati, Fortezza da Basso, Florence, 23-25 January, with an installation entitled TECHNO-LUXURY.

Techno features and colors are expected to be next season new trends, also in the wake of Tokyo Olympic games which will draw everybody’s attention to sport promoting a contamination between streetwear and fashion. With the view to express this concept Pitti Immagine Filati, for the first time ever, has invited two textile companies representing Made in Italy in the world, Carvico and Jersey Lomellina, as special guests with the exclusive task to create an original and inspiring installation, focusing on color and texture.

Techno-Luxury has been conceived as the perfect blend of color and emotion, connecting the earth with the sky, in a visual representation of the aesthetical revolution of the future. The 2020 Spring/Summer collection features a strong contamination between shapes and materials. Woven fabrics and techno-fibers meet and complement each other in a series of outfits featuring several iconic garments: a special collection inspired by the Spazio Ricerca, telling about the current metamorphosis of tastes and materials. Wool, cashmere and natural fibers are used together with high performance fabrics, in an extraordinary evolution from the past to the future of textiles: formal attire give way to the brand new techno-style collections by Carvico and Jersey Lomellina, creating an impressive hybrid concept of luxury blending opposites and anticipating future trends.

The idea is to bridge the gap between two sectors that are becoming increasingly connected, the world of high performance fabrics and the one of luxury products, by exploiting Carvico and Jersey Lomellina expertise in the creation of products for streetwear and beachwear, to suggest contaminations, design a new style and give life to next season trends, between luxury and comfort. Everything gets more dynamic; thanks to the Olympic Games, sport turns into a universal language spoken across the different branches of fashion, breaking all rules and stereotypes. Skateboarding and surfing, streetwear and beachwear, which are all part of Carvico and Jersey Lomellina DNA, are going to take haute-couture “catwalks” by storm, introducing a new concept of style.

Designed by Angelo Figus and Alessandro Moradei this pop-modern machinery shall blend our modernity with futurism, charme with techno-luxury.
